PRESENTATION OVERVIEW AND HONORARY CONSULATE OF MISSIONS

As part of the business policy established by the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Laurent Lamothe, the Democratic Republic of Haiti has conducted the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of Haiti in Cote d'Ivoire.

Indeed, dated April 10, 2012, letter of exequatur formalizing the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Haiti in Cote d'Ivoire was delivered to Mr. Oswald Loueke Guy Cyr, that, by the Ivorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, thus giving him the right to hold office as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Haiti on the Ivory Coast. As Honorary Consul, and in accordance with the Vienna Convention, Mr. Guy Loueke Cyr Oswald's role is the protection of Haitian nationals or expatriates passage on the Ivorian territory through social assistance.

It will also assist Haitians detained and will be primarily a general role of information and promotion of the Haitian community in Cote d'Ivoire.

Moreover, its main mission will be to establish and maintain relationships with ivorian political, economic, scientific and cultural to better make known to them the Republic of Haiti and establishing a climate of dialogue and cooperation.

Moreover, the honorary consul will be responsible for assisting the Haitian nationals for a number of simple administratives tasks.

However, we draw your attention to the fact that the Honorary Consul is an officer voluntary, unpaid, generally exercising a professional activity.It may therefore be available in all circumstances and at any time to help or assist. It nevertheless has all the means of communication to be your intermediary with the Ivorian authorities within a maximum of circumstances and bring you all the help you need.
